Another has recently emerged, this one focusing on guessing globe geography, and its inventor claims it is growing in popularity by the day. Let me introduce you to Worldle. According to its author, Antoine Teuf, a 31-year-old Web and video game developer from Montpellier, France, Worldle was inspired by Wordle, but it is not the same game.
Wordle and Worldle are, of course, identical in name, which has led to some confusion among social media users. However, Teuf told The Washington Post that he doesn't want Worldle to be perceived as a "clone" of the original Wordle game, but rather as a "tribute."

Users can make the game more difficult by hiding the country or region graphic or rotating it in a random way.
Worldle, like Wordle, may be played once a day, and players can publish their findings on social media in the form of small green, yellow, and black square emoji that represent how quickly they got the right answer.
Success Of Wordle Geography Game
The free game was established on Jan. 22 by a French web developer who goes by the Twitter handle @teuteuf, and by this past weekend, 577,167 individuals had joined up, as he tweeted on Feb. 13: "You crazy people! It was supposed to be just a small side project! We are now half a million who played #Worldle today!" Yesterday, #Worldle was a top trending term on Google.

This isn't the first time Wordle has been adapted for travelers. Scott's Cheap Flights debuted Airportle, a variant centered on guessing the correct three-letter airport code, in January. And, because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, especially in the realm of viral guessing games these days, there are already other geographic versions of Worldle available, such as Earthle, which contains adverts and demands money, and Globle, which the Worldle developer praised as "beautiful."
